Cookie Policy

Effective date: 2 October 2026. Last reviewed: 2 October 2026.

This policy explains what cookies and browser storage Hakura uses, who provides them, and how to manage your preferences. We ask for your consent before loading any non-essential cookies or trackers.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. We also use browser localStorage — similar technology that stores data locally without an expiry date unless cleared. On this page, "cookies" covers both.

2. Essential storage (always active)

These are required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled while you are using the cart, account, or checkout features.

3. Analytics cookies (optional — requires your consent)

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. They are loaded only if you select "Accept analytics" on the cookie banner. No analytics cookies are set before consent.

4. Payment provider (third-party, Razorpay)

When you proceed to checkout, Razorpay's payment window loads in an iframe on Razorpay's own domain. Razorpay may set their own cookies (such as device and session identifiers) to detect fraud and comply with RBI guidelines. These cookies are governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy and are not controlled by Hakura.

5. How to manage your preferences

Change your Hakura consent choice: Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer. Selecting "Essential only" removes all analytics cookies and prevents them from loading on future visits.

Block or delete cookies in your browser:

Blocking all cookies will prevent the cart and account features from working. We recommend choosing "Essential only" in the Hakura banner instead, which keeps site function intact while disabling analytics.

Opt out of Google Analytics across all sites: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Manage Meta ad preferences: Visit facebook.com/adpreferences.
