Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 October 2026. This policy applies to hakura.in and is issued by Hakura Energy Private Limited ("Hakura", "we", "our"), 347, Thiruvalluvar St, Pallakattu Thottam, Gounder Mills, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu — 641029. GSTIN: 33AADCH6565R1ZY.
1. What data we collect
This site is intended for users who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, contact care@hakura.in and we will promptly delete it.
We collect personal data only as needed to fulfil an order or respond to an enquiry:
- Contact & identity: Name, email address, phone number.
- Delivery: Shipping address, pincode, state.
- Transaction: Order reference and payment status. Card and UPI details are processed directly by Razorpay — Hakura does not receive or store them.
- Account: Email and hashed password when you create an account.
- Consent record: Your DPDP consent timestamp and scope, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
- Browsing: Device type, browser, approximate location, and pages visited — collected only after you give analytics consent.
2. How we use it
- Fulfil, dispatch and track your order.
- Issue a GST tax invoice.
- Process payment and handle refunds.
- Respond to support, warranty or grievance requests.
- Send service-related communications (order status, dispatch alerts).
- Improve the site and detect misuse — with your consent for analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations under the GST Act, Consumer Protection Act 2019, and Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
We do not sell personal data or use it for profiling unrelated to your transaction.
3. Third-party processors
We share minimum necessary data with these service providers, each operating under its own privacy policy and a data processing agreement with Hakura:
- Razorpay — payment processing (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets).
- Google — website analytics (GA4) and advertising (Google Ads), with your consent.
- Meta — advertising measurement pixel, with your consent.
- Railway — cloud hosting for our website and store backend.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (order confirmations, support).
4. Retention
- Order and invoice records: 7 years (GST compliance).
- Account data: Until you delete your account, plus 90 days for dispute resolution.
- Consent logs: Retained as required by the DPDP Act 2023.
- Analytics data: Per Google's and Meta's retention settings (typically 14–26 months).
5. Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:
- Access — request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw analytics or marketing consent at any time without affecting data held for order fulfilment, invoicing, or GST purposes.

To exercise any right, email care@hakura.in with your registered email address and the nature of your request. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours of receipt and respond within 30 days. Deletion requests are processed manually and completed within 30 days, subject to our statutory retention obligations (such as 7-year GST record-keeping).
In the event of a personal data breach affecting your data, we will notify you and report to the Data Protection Board as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
