How to use

Four steps from dough to plate — no experience needed.

1

Charge

Plug in and charge for 2–3 hours before first use. A single charge handles multiple batches.

2

Prepare dough

Mix rice flour (or noodle dough) with warm water to a soft, pliable consistency — not too wet, not too stiff.

3

Attach your mould

Click in the die for idiyappam, noodles, or murukku. Each mould snaps in and out cleanly.

4

Press and serve

Hold over a steamer plate or tray and press. Idiyappam is ready to steam; noodles and murukku go straight to the pan.

Frequently asked questions

The machine comes with 11 interchangeable plates: Noodles, Idiyappam (string hoppers), Thin Sev, Vermicelli, Flat Rice Noodles, Murukku, Jilebi, Jangiri, Nool Parotta, Pakkavada, and Sev. The plate you fit determines the shape of the output.
With adult supervision, yes. The pressing mechanism is enclosed and the body stays cool during use. We recommend adults handle the machine and children assist with loading batter only.
A full charge is typically sufficient for preparing 2–3 batches of idiyappam for a family. Exact duration depends on batter consistency and usage pattern. Charge time is approximately 2–3 hours.
11 interchangeable stainless steel plates are included: Noodles, Idiyappam (string hoppers), Thin Sev, Vermicelli, Flat Rice Noodles, Murukku, Jilebi, Jangiri, Nool Parotta, Pakkavada, and Sev. All plates snap in and out easily.
Box contains: 1× Idiyappam & Noodle Maker, 1× stainless steel barrel, 11× interchangeable plates, 3× sausage funnels, 1× Type C USB charging cable, 1× cleaning brush, and user manual. GST invoice included.
The machine has a 1500 mAH lithium battery rated at 40W. Battery life per charge depends on batter consistency and press frequency — we recommend doing a full charge before first use. For a typical family breakfast session, one charge is generally sufficient. Charge via the included Type C USB cable (same as most Android phones). Charge fully before first use and store with partial charge.
Both work. For the best texture, use idiyappam rice flour (available as "idiyappam maavu" at most Indian grocery stores) — it's finely milled specifically for this purpose. Standard store-bought rice flour also works well. If you grind your own rice flour at home (using a Hakura spice mill), sieve it through a fine mesh after grinding for the smoothest result.
The stainless steel plates snap out easily and are dishwasher safe. For quick cleanup, rinse under running water immediately after use — before the dough dries. The main body of the machine is not waterproof, so wipe it with a damp cloth only. Never submerge the motor unit in water.
